Hi all,
Does anyone know of any really good rock shops in NorthEastern Colorado? or within 2 hours or so of Denver? I will be taking a trip there in the next few days and I thought I should ask, in case there are some cool places to go to.
I am interested in both finished stones and also cutting rough. I would love to go through a barrel of large rough rose quartz pieces!
Thanks, :-) Dave

Dave, you could try contacting rockhuntress (Nan).http://forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?action=viewprofile&user=rockhuntress She lives in Denver, and is always visiting the area rock shops. She doesn't visit RTH often, so I'll PM her, and tell her to keep an eye out for messages. Don

The Redrose Rock Shop looks to be about 65 miles from Denver. Interesting website, I've purchased from them in the past.It is located in Estes Park, Colorado. They have just opened a second location now in Johnson City, Texas.Looks like plenty of rock from the pictures.

Check with Sister's in Denver area. I don't know if she has rocks but she can pioint you to rock shops in the area. Her info should be on the Barranca Diamond website Lapidary Dealers listing. While there check the history listing. Very interesting history of diamond blades.

I looked up Sister's. Sounds like internet business. You could still contact her by e-mail. She is a very nice lady.

sorry did not see your post till this morn. There are several good rock shops in Fort Collins and there is a good club up there that would be glad to help. On the other hand the north east area of the state is not to good till ya get to the stateline area. to the south we have Ackleys in Colo Springs and on the 23 through the 256 there is the Rocky Mtn Fed show at the Mining Museum in North Colo Springs across from the AIR FORCE academy. PM me if I can be of any help
