I did this one for a client who wanted a faceted stone wrapped "ribbon" style. The stone is a beautiful 3.30 carat pink tourmaline. I used too many wires by mistake thinking that I needed them all, but I think it still turned out nice. 12 strands of 24g gold fill. how do you like it?   |

Maybe you can just bend them down at the top wrap for a clean look!
you will need to get them all the same to look good with a very slight bend and slant cut to the inside at the ends.

I like the wrap, and I'd hate to waste all the wire. I'm going to see if I can pop the stone out of the setting and find another 3.3ct pear stone to put in it and just add it to inventory. that way I can save the wrap and do another with the client's stone.
