Howdy folks, Went out on a little hunt to my favorite gravel pile this morning. Only hunted a couple of hours because it's hotter than Satan's rosy red hochies here today. Was mainly after Devils Toenails for sharpening my saw blade but I did find a few other things.....Mel About thirty pounds of toenails in the raw: The other junk: Jasper, flint, pet wood, puddingstone an agate nodule and some kind of pseudomorph flint, maybe after coral. Amazing colors on some of this flint, lots of pinks, blues and purples. Should make a pretty tumble.

So not only do you find great rocks, but you pick up blade sharpening stone - sounds like TX is the place.

Bob: I read too many comic books as a kid. All the little devils was red so why would they change color when they growed up? And heck, if'n they turn blue when they get cold, stands to reason they'd get red when they get hot *L*. We got us a bull here on the ranch and when his get hot they sure do turn red ( hang kinda low in this weather too *L*)....Mel

That gravel pile has sure turned out some wonderful finds! I have been watching the weather there. YIKS! Hope you get some rain out of the coastal storm that is going through Mexico! I would love to see a slice of that pseudo-morph flint. It sure looks cool! Fran
