I told Colt I would post some of my favorite past time, chain maille. I love doing these and I keep trying new patterns. Here are a few of the bracelets, I also do ear rings and necklaces but the camera battery died so it decided when I had to stop. These two are a couple of flower type weaves. A different byzantine weave. A helm weave. A true byzantine This is one I tried to follow a pattern on and it came out different, I have done several of them and they have sold. Here's a 12 by 2. Finally a summery byzantine. Thanks for looking. Tanya

Those look awesome Tanya! Also looks very time consuming... how long does each piece take on average?

Thanks all! Krystee, some will take up to 10 hours other only about 1 hour and the ear rings 30 minutes. I have gotten a lot faster than when I started but my husband watches TV in the evening and I have to be doing something with my hands. I do chain maille and I still can have a conversation with him about what is on TV. Works well.

Sorry who don't know what we are talking about, leave us be to our important mailler's talk! ;D ;D ;D
The one you called "a helm weave" is really "Barrels" weave.
Excellent Jap12in1! that one looks really nice! ;D And your Jap12in1 flower bracelets are neat too!
I like you Byzantines. For the 2 doubled byz bracelets, I guess the weave would be "box chain" in sections.
The photo called "A different byzantine weave." I have not seen (as far as my memory goes). But I love it! May I ask where you found this weave. And do I have your permission to repost it to ask my friends about it?

Colt the one that I called a different Byzantine is made with Byzantine sections connected across the top and bottom. I started doing this with some sections I took off bracelets for customers to make them smaller. I connected some of those sections. Pretty simple really. The one you called 12 in 1 is actually 12 in 2 as the flat rings are doubled as well so are the flowers doubled. Thanks, I really admire your work. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more.
