I couldn't get the nuts to turn on the torque converter, I worked until my neck was sore and gave up. Cathy said that she'd do it. I figured that she couldn't do any worse than I did. She did it, and it didn't take her long either. (this was after she cooked lunch for everyone) damn right!   Cathy with my best friend Wayne....  |

That was the massive irritation at having dental pain going on. Allowed her to be able to do anything, to include feed all of us and then face the transmission! Great job Cathy!

wtg, Cathy! it reminds me of a funny story when we had our Super 7. the speedometer cable went kaput and, of course, it was almost knitted in, around and through the engine compartment. hubby's hand were too big to get through some of the tight spaces, so we had to tag team it. i had to get upside down head first into the passenger foot well and feed the cable up to him into the engine. problem was....i got stuck and couldn't get out on my own. i swear i was starting to pass out from all the blood to the brain. he had to yank me out by my feet. lol. good times. WOW did not know if any of those still existed ! I used to drive SCCA racing and was up against those Lotus Super 7s often , real competitive , often beat my MGB and TR4 what a memory.

I drove on the left side of the road for quite a while (worked in Japan) it's actually easy and the drivers over there are polite! (the women stay out from under the cars though)

I was chuckling away to myself all through this encounter. Randy started out under the truck trying to loosen the bolts and he was cussing something rotten because he couldn't manage it. Then Randys' friend Wanye got under there with him, and the were both cussing - damn, dang, darn it, ect. Randy came out from under the truck and left Wayne there. Wayne asked for a different sized spanner and Cathy fetched it for him, then he cussed a while. Cathy knelt down to see what was happening, then she lay on her stomach, then rolled over to get a better view and saved straining her neck. A short while later she was right under the truck turning a wrench. Wayne crawled out from under the truck, and us three guys just sat there drinking beer and grinning while Cathy did all the work. Smiles and grins all around of course. I did offer some help, but I'm not allowed to help  I'm a guest who should be relaxing. |
