Yesterday, I finaally got myself an inland combo machine and I am having a blast cutting, grinding, shaping and polishing. It's small and cute, but it does the job. I went through my small collection I had so the next two days are devoted to hunting more rocks. It's so exciting to finally see what these rocks actually look like under the skin. I love rocks.

Congrats Cindy, on your new toy. I got one of these 6 months ago, and have also been having a blast! I've heard some negative comments from folks, who IMHO, may have been expecting too much from this little machine. The saw was never intended for slabbing, so if you can avoid that urge, you should be content w/ it. Most important, Have FUN!!!

Thank you. I have a tile saw that I use for the bigger cutting jobs. I'm hoping to upgrade to a bigger saw by winter.

Yes, it is. A 6". I cut larger slabs with a tile saw I have. For the price, if you're just getting started like I am, it's a pretty good deal.

Well, all I have are tumblers, so anything would be an improvement. I'll have to look into that.
