;D I had a couple of large slabs of Lucin Utah Variscite I'd cut a couple of weeks ago. Just setting on my bench minding their own bussiness. But one of them just whispered to me that it needed carving LOL. So I drew up a design I liked for the color & matrix in it. This is how it came out. I like it so much I might carve a reverse one & use them to hang a pendant from. Like I did with the carved Turquoise leaves on the Fuscia intarsia necklace (might even do another intarsia if I get reall ambitious LOL). I love Variscite nearly as much as Turquoise (they are cousins you might say). But it's much more rare. I have quite a stockpile of it though. This is such nice material to carve. It didn't have the hard & soft areas that can sometimes make it hard to do well. Took a great polish too. Hope you like it & thanks for looking. Mike

That's a great classic design beautifully executed on the perfect piece of variscite.
