I stared this yesterday after I got home from Church. I played around with a few drawings before settling on a design I liked. I chose a piece of Leopard Skin jasper that I thought would lend it's color & patterning to the snake. all shown wet Sketch & slab Cutout & ground to shape Holes drilled Tail roughed & slightly thined slab Roughed out ready for final detailing of head & sanding Finished & polished Hope you like it. Now to decide what to make it into? :cheesy: Thanks for looking Mike

I *really* like your snake. Great choice of rock, great design, and great execution. If he were mine, I would set him in the guest bathroom on the sink next to the lizard.
I so much want to try carving every time I look at one of your creations.

He looks alive. Great job and you are so right, the stone brings him life.

That's really great, from idea to finished product! Love the second to last picture.. newly hatched and resting on his creator's fingers. Thanks for showcasing your talents here!
