Oh, and I just thought, if it helps the club out, here is a link to the thundereggs we cut. There is a discussion with another poster who has already helped me identify some of these goodies! I don't know how many thundereggs might be left but when I was there, they had a lot in all sizes. Anyway, I'll try to put the link here or anyone curious can check the "slabs and saws" forum for the thread called "thunderegg madness" -- needless to say, we are satisfied customers. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=sawingb&action=display&thread=45970

Woooohooooooo!!!!! Wow. Well I might be in Sac then. Not really sure. Maybe I can talk Mrs. Rocklicker into stopping. I wouldn't have much time, just enough to get some cool rocks and go through them later. I'll be sure to bring a shovel ;D Hope to see some RTHers there if I make it.

Great to see you on the forums again, Steve! lol, where you been? Yeah, just bring the car in and get everyone to help pack it full! Dont be picky! ;D ...BTW, how you like the keychain? I might just get tons of it and start doing some FRB's for those here that are too far away! Also going to see if my cousin is going to go with to get some landscape rock! ~Colt

That went really well! I got about 500lbs. Lots of obsidian! enough rose quorts for a tumble hopefuly! and bunch of other stuff. I got some really nice slab'able pet wood. and this guy kept wanting to trade a graveyard point that i kindof wanted, for one of the pet woods. that part sucked because he would not shut up! lol.
How did you do steve?
...more details tomorrow porbably (after i go through the rocks.)... got to go...

I'm back and am still sore from unloading rocks from the car. I had a great time at the pile sale. Best thing is, since last time, the top layer of the pile had been taken off, so I was basically looking at a whole new rock pile! I got some pet wood, agate nodules, jaspers, some sweet obsidian, and some nice moss agate. In total, I came home with 625 pounds. The insane part was it was 5 cents a pound. But when I got there, because I was part of a nearby rock club, it was free! Yes, 0 cents a pound. Free rocks! Maybe it was because I had been there before or that I drug some club members along...who knows. I ended up making a donation to the club anyway.
BTW Colt, that guy you are talking about is from our club. He is obsessed with graveyard point agate. I hope you hung onto your piece. He is also quite a talker. I tuned him out as I was more interested in going through the pile than chatting.
I had a great time, got lots of cool rocks and got too see Colt and some other nice rock folk. An awesome day. I'll post some photos of the rocks and pile. Oh, and also of the most amazing thing I saw! Mrs. Rocklicker looking for rocks ;D Yes, you heard me right, my wife actually picking out rocks in the pile! It's unheard of! ;D Steve

Nice haul steve! I think you helped pay for me, lol. I told joe I was ready to cash out, and he said "200lb, $10"! And I know I had more like 500lbs! Also that was cool of you to donate ! Yes, I kept the Grave yard I found! I thought I saw your wife in the pile.... and I thought the sun was getting to me , because that would never happen! ~Colt
