Hi all,
Haven't been on here much, life has been VERY BUSY. Managing the Humane Society has consumed my life. We have just moved and are in the process of converting an entire room into a cabbing/faceting, silversmithing/wirewrapping room, woohoo! I announced that Dennis (wolfden) and I were getting married months back and so have also been busy with some preliminary planning for our June 2012 wedding.
Recently, its been all about the kids, and we are just so dang proud of the girls. This week, Lillie is competing with her quarter horse. In two days, she pulled in 4 Reserve Champion and 4 Champion titles. Her scores qualified her for state, even though she is too young and this weekend, she will be competing against not only the Juniors but the Intermediates and Seniors.
Here are a couple pics of Lillie from yesterday (the first by Hoof Beats Professional Photography):
And my lovely daughter Morgan....who received multiple blue ribbons and a Reserve Champion in a photography competition:
Yes, she is wearing a sweatshirt and a jacket...believe it or not, we are getting pouring down rain for fair this year, in July!
Love this photo...deceivingly simple but Morgan saw something in it that the judge admired. A row of water bottles in a vending machine, all identical save for the one that is tilted forward. She did this print in black/white and named it "Singled Out".
Im so proud of my kids, not for what they have "won" but for setting goals for themselves and having the determination to see them through.
Thanks for looking,
Shannon
