Just an Idea. Gonna call it 'transition'. (did a copyright on this)These are blanks (rough) for a Buck 110 but am leaving one side rough like it comes out of the ground and the other side will be polished to show how it will look polished. Both sides will be finished side rough side Thanks for any input. Ken

This is a lace agate. By the way, not going to use these as the rough is too thin. Got some pet wood ready to go. Just want ideas on how it would look and would it be feasable. Ken

The idea sounds cool. IF you can get rough with an even enough surface. Or cut parallel to it. But I'd think it might be hard to find rough that wasn't too rough & uneven. Possably with fractures you won't see untill it's sliced. Good luck on it. Mike

With petrified wood it would be very manly. My son Chris Perez did a wrap with rough pet wood and one with a tumbled pet wood. One man's and one woman's. Really cool.

This is a really cool idea and a way to show the folks that aren't rockhounds what the difference is between a natural stone and one that has been polished. However, I always thought "transition" knives were something like this: www.allaboutpocketknives.com/knife_forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15300&hilit=transition+knivesOr this: www.collectorknives.net/gecexplained.htmlSo how do you copyright a generic term that is already in use by the general public? I want a copyright on "sharp" knives
