Found these near Malheur Lake in Oregon last week, think they are kinda neat; never saw eggs like this before. Does anyone know the proper name; geodes, lava bombs, or maybe our favorite, raw thundereggs? The mtl. inside appears to be ash in one and ash or dirt in the other, both well baked and very hard. lava bombs, i would I.D. them as. Along hwy. 97 south of bend their very common to fine.

No, tektites are pieces of natural 'glass' formed by meteorite impacts
