Its been quite a while since I have cabbed any Ochoco Tube Agate. This one is 2-1/4" tall. I had a bit of a problem with the white areas having different hardnesses so they undercut a little. Bob ![](http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s160/Rocksbob/OchocoTubeAgate.jpg)

Superb stone. So pitty it undercuts but the final result of your work is flawless.

This is the slab that I got it from. I'll get a good sized oval out of it too. Bob ![](http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s160/Rocksbob/OchocoTubeAgate-1.jpg)

what would that look like with a colored backing?
you would probably need it to be a thin slice also, but red or black would be neat looking

Wonderful. Thanks for showing the slab. I have some material like this but I can see it isn't of good enough quality, the density of the tubes is nothing like yours.

Thank you for all of your generous compliments! It does show some transparency so a colored background would show through slightly but I'm not sure without making it much thinner whether the background would help. Most of this material that I've seen recently has less definition of the tubes and they are much larger so a colored background would enhance the cabs. I'm not sure when I got this slab but I know it was many years ago as witnessed by the $2.00 price on it. Wish I could come across some more of this quality at that price! Bob

Nice work Bob. Here's what a colored background would look like on this material. ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v172/orekar/keegdoub.jpg) This is with an obsidian backing.
