I went to cab I did I did To polish a stone so pure
I cut the slab I did I did Tapping to make it secure
I worked the stone I did I did In the shape a lovely mound
I gazed alone I did I did At perfection I had found
I froze the dop I did I did To release the captive gem
I cursed the drop I did I did When the stone fell from the stem
I feel despair I do I do Seeing my labor so marred
I want to share I do I do But my efforts seem so scarred
I'll go once more I will I will To my Titan in the dark
I'll give 'What for!' I will I will To ignite genius's spark
I'll wait 'til then I must I must To form the perfect display
And steal a win I must I must To vindicate all my play

Ole Lowell I fear your stone has broke But don't cry in your beer Don't weep, don't moan, just slab a new stone In your cabbing chair place your rear
Yeah, fill your tray, light your light and put your wheels in gear Yeah, shape that stone and polish that dome And post your pics right here. *L*

Oh how I love to put a shiney on the rock But to continue this in today I must go in hock For the prices are steep tools and materials not cheap And,Oh how I want to make the leap

It's happened to me (having a stone fall off the dop and break, that is). The versification of the experience is an endeavor I have so far avoided. Craig

Just remember....it is just a rock! That is what I say every time a drop a knapped point, or blade and break it...........I break more of them by dropping them then when working them.
I say the same thing when a can flies off the dop stick whilst polishing and self destructs.
Used to say something else not so polite.

*L* I'm with the old Woody. The air is often blue in my shop because of my gull danged piece of crap bowed base Genie but when a cab breaks, the air turns purple. As my wife has oft complained,"How can one educated man string together so many curse words into one lungfull of air!"......Mel
