Got an order of rose quartz from Christopher today. I made what I thought was possibly an unreasonable request - fairly specific size. Christopher cheerfully delivered with 2 perfect pieces at a great price. One of the best packing jobs I've ever seen. Time to start cutting.

I am glad I was able to get you what you wanted....enjoy!!!! I look forward to seeing the spheres that come out of it. I hope it cuts with a huge bright 6 ray star when you are done!!!!

Chritopher, I saw on another thread that you wanted an update. I cut a nice preform from a hunk of the rose quartz. The preform is for a 3.8 inch sphere. The soonest I can grind it round will be next summer.
Another hunk of your rose quartz is in the queue for the saw. Right now I'm working on some Holly pet wood and Biggs jasper. Man, that Biggs is tough stuff and hard on the saws. Each preform takes a min of 26 cuts (at least the way I make them). They actually take more cuts because I slab down to the cube.
