The show is open for dealer's dealing day today (but no one cares who comes in for buying) and there are about 45 dealers already set up. They are expecting up to 150 dealers but I'm guessing that is a high number. The show is across the Snyder's ranch driveway from its usual site. Apparently the Snyders no longer want to sponsor the show. Mister Coe volunteered his land for the show. As usual the show is in a cow pasture but the cow droppings aren't real fresh. The ground is difficult to walk on because of the sunken cow hoofprints. Lots of rough rock and slab dealers with super (and super priced) slabs - Bumblebee Agate (Jasper?), Ocean Jasper, Bullion Canyon, Dinosaur Bone, etc. Its rather hot - 95 - but there is a breeze (hot) blowing. The beer truck was just setting up (We left as it was setting up - darn!) Many of the miscellaneous local vendors are geting set up. I shopped for about an hour and found some small pieces of Vistaite, Copco Agate, super dinosaur slabs, Pirhana Agate slab, etc. It looks to be a super show! Photos tomorrow. Bob

Thats a bummer about the location change. Do you know when they desided this? 150 dealers? hehe, this is going to be fun! I totally think you cant get through the whole show in 1 day! I'm still planning on going tomorrow (Friday). ~Colt Edit; I hope I can still go.... my mom is talking about kicking me out and stuff. ugg.

Hey Colt, hope you get a good haul on this. As is typical, I'm either too early or too late. I was up that side of town last week. Too late for the fire sale you mentioned and left too early for the Valley Springs one! Go figure.
Looking forward to your photos, Bob!

Well this show is really cool, and HUGE! I got lost a few times and really turned to the sun for help! Really cool stuff, and great prices! I got a ball of leather cord, (2mm maybe) about 25feet for $1! and some 2" bone beads, 12/$1! Also found a guy selling some baggies of 3 - 5 ounces of garnets! I got a baggie with smaller, round bits for $2.00 (he chopped off 50 cent because I got 2 bags), and a bag of larger unshaped pieces for $4.00. Begin? He told me he mined then himself in Idaho! Looked at the people selling grit, and NOBODY had petels!!! I could not believe it! Also not many people walking around.... still working probably . Today I was kind of planing out things to go back and possibly buy later, lol. I did find a friend from school there! and he WAS a vendor! He is selling Tie Dye clothing! I sold something too, There was a lady that had a booth, and she seen my cross necklace, and asking me where in the show I got it! haha! So she bought one, and want to see more of my stuff tomorrow! Bobby, where were you? lol. Anyways, here is a link to the photos I took of the show today ; www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1819591504078.80146.1668883780&type=1Enjoy! ~Colt P.S. sorry if its hard to read, Long day, and exosted!

Nice pics!! Thanks for sharing. I've been tempted all morning to go, but honestly, I have SOOO much rock to work, it's ridiculous. So I'm making myself work some of it before I go off and buy even more~ I figure the money I don't spend on gas I"ll put in my savings for the aluminum 10" rock saw I'm trying to save for!
