and a burning bush....at least thats what i am calling them. finally got around to playing with the workforce a little today....these peices ended up looking like they do by mistake....i was just trying to cut away the bad places. my so called penguin and alligator...are about 2 1/2'' long...and about 1" wide....1/4" thick...my little burning bush is about 1 1/2" long...1" wide at the widest point. do ya thunk i can put them our 3# tumbler and get a polish on them? I am sure you can, I have done crosses, and other shapes. I have some coming out of polish in about 30 minutes, more crosses and tear drops. I will try to put pictures in members photos if I can get camera to work. Terry

Oh yeah! Shapes are fun. Just watch them closely in coarse grind, check them every few days until you see how they are wearing down. When they are smooth they will go through the rest of the stages just like all other rock. Like Terry I have tumbled many crosses and shapes successfully. About your naming... I've discovered that the key to creativity is the ability to name your "mistakes"! You sound like a creative guy to me! Have fun.

Hey cp - I think you read your compass wrong when you were out rockhoundin'. That penguin looks like a polar bear to me (sitting, with his head turned away). Looks pretty damned good right now. Hope he comes out nice.

LOL I couldn't imagine where this was leading. I tumbled my one lone fish with a bunch of other stuff, slabs and whatnot, it's in polish now and looked great. Git 'er done!
