My wire wrapping gf, who is my guru of jewelry, has always had a love affair with drusy cabs. She buys them by the handful at gem shows that she goes to, wraps them, and have had people buy them off her neck when she wears them! After I drooled after her last finds, when I found a small chunk in my stash of rock, I thought, why not try? I but a wedge, and roughed it on my Workforce. This is actually a pic of the wedge next to the one I worked on, but I forgot to take a picture before!  and here's the wrap, resting on it's sister rock  Sterling wire, gold filled beads, Swarovski crystals, agate bead. |

That is beautiful. You did a great job on the cab and the wrap compliments the cab well though I'm not loving the gold beads with it but that's just me.

I agree with Diane, I love the gold beads with the wrap and the cab. It's an awesome combination.

Thanks Tanya, but I think you misread Diane's post~  Some I look back on and continue to like what I did, others make me look back and go , "Ummm, I'm not so sure that works..." - but I've learned to leave it. There was one dino bone that I did and actually did undo, redo, fiddle with, and had left it not quite anywhere in my mind, and surprisingly enough, in an ArtAbout that opens tomorrow night, it was the piece the manager picked up first to show in her store! Go figure. |
