The Hassayampa Rock Shop opens on Sept 9th in Wickenburg, AZ. This year will be more focused on rough rock and slabs. It is a rustic rock shop that is kid friendly and lots of fun! If you are in the area, stop by and say 'Hello' !!

Sheri, Much success for you... and your new shop... I must admit to keeping a low profile for myself anywhere near Wickenburg so I'll have to send my virtual presence to check it out

The shop started slow as the Arizona heat just will not leave! This weekend was better and the variety in the shop is about to pick up. I will tell you, this whole rock shop started as a dare. Drocknut can attest to this! She was here when we pulled out the first couple of tables to prove the dare wrong! Not quite a year later, I have learned many lessons and want to remain humble. I believe this year will be a good one. Please do not feel obligated to buy rock if you visit! I am not in the rock business, I am in the friend business who happens to have several tables full of rock for sale! I do not want to overwhelm the board with selling offers but if you ever are looking for something, just send me a PM. I am here. I will continue to buy rock through the season (Sept - June) so I will keep my eye on this board. Ya'll take care and if you are in the area, come sit a spell and lets talk ROCKS !!

Hi Sheri, Where exactly are you located?

I am on Hwy 60 on the east end of Wickenburg. As you are going to Las Vegas from Phoenix, you take Grand Ave or rather Hwy 60/89 (Same thing) northwest. You will pass through Wittmann then Morristown then a Rest Area and then as you come into Wickenburg, the speed limit drops to 45mph. If you watch to your left you will see a Dairy Queen billboard. I am directly accross the hwy from that billboard. Coming in the other way? After you pass the McDonalds go a few miles and watch for Horspatality RV Park on your right, I am accross the hwy just a little ways up further.
Even BIGGER news...........JIM KONING is about to open his rock shop in Morristown. It is a white bldg with GEMS signs on top. He has a lot of his fathers (Martin Koning) rock, specimens and tons of cool stuff. Don't forget to check him out also!!
Hope to see ya'll soon!! Sheri

I re-designed the entry and exit, only have one table of Jewelry and it is outside, not inside as the previous season. I feel better keeping Ark Exterminating and the Rock Shop separated. Everything is outside. I cover the specimens in the afternoon from the sun until I can build a cover for them. Most all rock is at waist level so you don't have to bend down to look. The higher end rock is listed on the board and can be pulled for viewing. The prices are not up yet but I am still working out there. Overall, I feel more comfortable with this set-up and it seems to be working as I am already pretty busy! Enjoy the pics and suggestions are welcome! ![](http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j248/SBreed/P1090291.jpg) ![](http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j248/SBreed/P1090292.jpg) ![](http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j248/SBreed/P1090293.jpg) ![](http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j248/SBreed/P1090294.jpg)
