I bought some Diamond Paste from an outfit that had cheap prices. I also bought a couple of facet plates too (not the only thing that was cheap imo).
This paste seems to be in a grease base. It is working but I am wondering if I should be addings something to it on my denim polish pads to keep from wasting it and getting it to absorb into the material better. Whenever I charge the pad I end up with half of what I put on the pad on my cab.

Bob: You only need a wee bit of paste dotted around your plates, then give them a squirt of extender. If you have a commercial kitchen supply near you go there for the 'extender' it is only an aerosol of food grade silicone. The can of food grade silicone spray is much much less expensive, and much larger. You will only ever have to buy one can. Woody

I use silicon spray lubricant from Home Depot. Giant can for under $4.

I use felt disks and diamond paste on my flat lap with excellent results. I also use diamond paste with felt burs on my Dremel at the lowest setting, works great too!

don't change a thing ~K! low speed-light pressure? I should be getting better results then so it must be--- not a smooth enough grinding style more experimenting with the Nova wheels no problem

Use the silicon spray from the hardware store. When it seems the paste isn't working anymore, just a small squirt and the paste will be like new!

I also use silicone spray and just a very light spritz of it goes a long way. I use the rubber flexo discs and canvas pads on them for the lower grits and the leather (deer skin and letherette discs) for polishing.
