The weather finally cooled enough to go somewhere! Frannie and I left Sat. morning and arrived at Mt Nebo State Park late Sat. evening. We were lucky enough to get a campsite on the edge of the mountain. We had a great view of the sunrise every morning And every evening we went to the other side of the mountain to enjoy the sunset There is a 3 1/2 mile trail all the way around the mountain and we walked most of it. One day we went to Mt Magazine which is the tallest mountain in Ar. They have a huge lodge there. And they let hang gliders take off The next day we traveled 55 miles north to take a 2 1/2 mile trail to see some interesting rock formations We had a great time, got to see some rain , and they even let us have a campfire, which is an extreme no no in Texas right now. All 115 pictures are here. s167.photobucket.com/albums/u154/imhch/Trips/?start=allCurt

Curt, Glad to hear it is cooling off a bit! That is a nice looking area where you camped, and camping ain't complete with out a campfire! Great scenery!

Thanks for visiting our beautiful state. Wonderful pics. My husband grew up around Mt. Magazine and knows it well. We ride the Harley up there several times a year. Great ride. Nancie
