I thought that I would start this thread for the benefit of all those such as myself who don't have ready availability to quality dealers and as such are limited to doing there purchases on line or for those who just enjoy pulling off a good snipe on Ebay. I know that no magician wants to share their secrets and I am sure that this holds true with rock hounds. No one really wants to share that special location that bears the mother load. However I am willing to share the magic so to say by posting those Ebay or other sellers whom I feel have quality products and are beyond reproach as far as their integrity. As much as I would like to keep these sellers as my little secret I feel that I need to share the magic with all those on the forum who have been so helpful to me. I invite all of you to use this thread to do the same and share the joy of a good find. If you choose to post the name and url of a seller please indicate how this seller stands out and indicate if the seller specializes in any specific material. The sellers that i would recommend are as follows: Esciguy an Ebay seller who has been a collector/prospector for 40 years. High quality with no surprises. Not just the run of the mill stuff. Don't be surprised by his low number of transactions (about 300). This seller only deals in Morrisonite and some Owihee but if you need some exceptional piece he has them or can source them. Thanks for the input and thanks Lee for the listing.
This can become a very useful resource as long as all the entries that are selected have been done so based upon merit.
Lets not forget our fellow brother and sister rock hound sellers either.
Please indicate in your listing if the seller is a fellow RTH member.

i'm smiling now......... uncle stu made me happy..... Yes i sell slabs too... it the www.stonesthatrock.net site........... It a bit hard to navigate, but it works all the same. I think i'm outvoted on dandy slabs..... I had a problem with him, he did fix it but the picture looked nothing like what i received. He even unfriended me on face book............lmao |

Mine would be "tanyafrench".....I'm not usually into alot of different types of rocks,the stuff she carries is what I want and its always a great buy when I recieve my goodies..........
My only other buy was "stonesthatrock',it was a great deal too and what I was looking for.

Here are the real professionals on eBay in my opinion: maplestuff, aroc55, stoneclouds, rockhound_dog, rocksJ2B2, rockfevered, westcoastgems and zippysrocks
And I would like to think myself as a vendor of quality lapidary items.
I know all of these people personally. Not all are premium item sellers, but all sell not only to make a living but because they pursue the passion of lapidary and love to cut open rocks!
Also esciguy is someone I do not know personally(I think) but his stuff is quality.
Yes, I had issues with a user on this forum...being sniped at for my website items on Facebook to the point my friends on the site were even commenting to me about the sniping. I blocked them as a friend and then and only then did a purchase ensue on eBay...a morrisonite slab won for 9.99 w/ free priority mail ship...the minute I saw who the winner was, I went and told my wife we were going to get a complaint since I unfriended them off facebook...strange world. Anyhow, they got my honest opinion, arguable but how we felt and they also ended up with their slab for free!
Always remember, while the saying 'You get what you pay for' may be true when shopping my slabs personally at a show, and also online as I work hard to sell the best I can find...it is not necessarily true on eBay at auction and I have seen so many people pay stupid prices for items worth a fraction of their value...fortunately beauty in rocks is in the eye of the beholder and what is worth $5 to me, may be worth a bid of $50 to another. I have had people refuse to buy palm slabs for $70 on my website, then go to auction on my eBay and bid the sister slab to $125 and even $178!!!!
