Finally, finally,a rock sale within reasonable distance from me.35 tons, mostly all in metal crates, needed a full day to look at most of it.Anyway, made a little dent in it.Really enjoyed the time with Curt, texaswoodie and Ray,rockncajun.Heres a few pics, gonna be some interesting slabbing coming up. This large one reminds me of Polish flint, but Icouldnt be that lucky. Now I know how you folks in the western states feel with all the sales yall have. ;D Thanks for looking. snuffy

I've never seen a rock sale like that. Very cool! Maybe its improper but as a person who lives in a non rock sale area, how does a sale like that work? By the pound or piece?

Shermlock, the guy posted a pricelist of the rocks by the pound and you go help yourself to what your wallet can stand. $1 lb on up to $10lb. snuffy

Thanks! Slabs are going to be sweet on all of them but I especially like the bottom left rock with the tear drop agate like formation in the first picture.

Hey Snuffy!!!!
Great finds! I'm glad someone decided to dump his load out there in Texas! I've been lucky to have been to four or five sales out here, and anything could show up in the piles. It's like going through a rummage sale. You never know what treasures might peek their heads out from under the gunk...
(or am I the only one who has gunk in his collection piles?)
Enjoy the slabbing!
