Thanks for the kind words ..... Marra mamba is amazing material but a bit tricky to work with, if you dont maintain a bevel all the way round the ends while grinding, the fibres will constantly break away; but its well worth the extra effort as the finished product is sensational, (photographs just do not pick up the chatoyancy which is miles ahead of any other form of tiger eye) I am very fortunate in that the guy that owns the one and only marra mamba deposit is a good friend, while my son in law owns the deposit that produces fairly good quality chrysoprase, his mine also produces the form of nickeliferous magnesite known as 'lemon chrysoprase' (but its not a lemon and its not chrysoprase) for some strange reason when he took a few kilograms to Tucson earlier this year someone called it "yellow horse" and the name has stuck.
