Ive seen better metal knifes personally KD, these are far to showy in my opinion. And using more stone or natural non-man made media in fuller aspects as parts of the knife and not inlay only. Still good link and refernce for style. Notice his use of gemstones, hes not cutting them himself i suspect becasue of the cratfmanship and there all calibrated facets gems. Also, his gemstone page is just copied referce of general gemstones. Doesnt talk about him cutting them. Metalsmithing is such a neat thing and theres allot you can do, but not many metalsmiths are lapidarys except out of nessity for fixing jewelry or broken/missing stones. Thanks

Wowser! I love his fusion of mineral, metal and wood etc. Big fan of damascus blades too. I agree with what Shain says. My preference is for pure fighting forms and many of his blades are too complex for clean knifework but man, as pure display items, those are gorgeous. I also noticed the lack of prices and I can guarantee you they are all in the four to six digit range. I'll bet Sylvester Stallone has a few but not this po boy *L*.....mel

Those are some cool looking knives for sure. There's a guy on ebay selling stone knives where he uses obsidian for the blade and some other stone for the handle, but he knapps his blades. They have really cool shapes, like the ones on this link, and his knives usually sell for over $250 each. So yes, I know KD, I've got a long way to go alright.

Great inlays and jewel work, but it `s like having a $100,000 streetrod that you keep in a garage and don`t ever drive it. Both are almost unusable.......Rocky

Oh well - he's already put fancy names on all his knives, so I guess he won't be havin' any "Name this Knife" contests.

Ed and Neph, make those and you'll be in the big leagues! Your's are a different style alltogether though. They are all about the stone, which I like. Steve
