I have been watching, and posting to this thread for some time now, and just realized I have never given an intro. I own a retail store in Jackson Hole, Wyo. jewelryjacksonhole.com/index.asp I have been in Jackson since 1972 and had my store for 18 years. I retired from Commercial Real Estate Appraising 10 yrs ago and now I love rock hounding and lapidary, and make a lot of the things we sell. I have recently started tumbling, I have been hand finishing everything before now, but am attempting to cut some corners (pun intended) - I have a lot of slabs of all kinds of stuff that never shows up on my website, so if anyone is ever interested please contact me. If you are in jackson please stop by the store. I have (well my partner Aaron has) been recently doing more on facebook and Aaron wants to build up our likes, so if you facebook and are so inclined you are welcome to like us. www.facebook.com/pages/Teton-Art-Gallery-Jackson-Wyoming/128619623869764

Big Texas Howdy to both of you folks. We are always happy to have new members. We also love pictures. Lots and lots of pictures.Lol. Now, a word of caution-you are about to enter into an addictive hobby that starts out seemingly harmless-but it progresses rapidly. First, you see a pretty rock, you pick it up and take it home. Then, you decide the stone would look really pretty polished, so, you get a tumbler. Then, you begin to wonder what the rocks look like on the inside, so you buy a saw. Then, you see the inner beauty of the rocks and you start to think they would make beautiful pieces of jewelry, so you buy a grinder and shaper. And, that's just the first year-LOL. Once again, welcome.
