As you know, I've been watching and looking at all your pictures. Now that I finally got my first "EVER" batch of stones tumbled, I thought I would try out what I have learned from you wonderful folks. The first one is just regular round copper wire. I don't know what type of stone it is because I'm still a rookie and maybe someday I will know what it is. The second picture is the same one but a different angle. The third one in blue wire I wish was done in square silver wire, but one: I am having a hard time finding it in this city. And two: My girlfriend made me do it in blue. Both stones have a fracture....but that's a different story. I think I know where I went wrong with the tumbles to get them..but hey..that's a different topic. I know they aren't very good, but I wanted to post them, and then come back in a few months to see how far I came along. Thanks for looking!

Call me weird, but I like the blue wire. It's a nice contrast IMHO. The coper one is cool too. Nice start on the wrapping.

Thanks! It was pretty fun doing them, except for the few times I got frustrated and let a few new words fly out. I hope I don't become too addicted, I only have two 3lb tumblers. Thank you Judy for the advice on the wire. I'll take a look. (but I won't show my gf. She'll spend too much.) At least you didn't say they sucked.

My husband took the same class I did when I 1st got into wrapping. He said it was his 1st & last class. Not his thing. I love doing it, but have come up with my own methods. Stay with the craft & copper wire for a while & practice, practice, practice. I say to stay with the cheaper wire so you won't be afraid to try new ideas. I still use cheap wire when I'm trying out something new. When I'm happy with the result, that's when I go to my gold or silver. BUT, you're second wrap is better than my 1st, & I like the wrap in your 1st pic. Keep it up.
