This is todays victim. An approx. 3 lb. nodule given to me by member montanamadman on his last visit. I believe this one came out of Wyoming, and appears to have moss inclusions in a golden brown color. Pics of slabs later. Don

End nub cut, and looking interesting. Looks like lots of long, stringy golden moss, with maybe a few crystal lined vugs. Cutting the first slab now. This is super hard, slow cutting stuff.

Bleh !! Not worth wasting valuable saw time on. After cutting 4 slabs, I still haven't gotten rid of the tiny cracks and little mud filled voids. Oh well, looked good from the outside. I may be able to get a couple of small cabs out of the better portions. Maybe a freeform or 2 also.

Which way did you cut? Along the long or short?

Wouldn't matter. The whole piece is full of tiny fractures. Material is only suitable for hitting with a hammer and throwing in the tumbler.
