Hello everyone. I'm new. Have been an off and on, part time rock hound since high school. Found a piece of Jasper on the beach the other day. Didnt know what kind it was till I found it on the net. Its about twice the size of a chicken egg. What do you think? Is it a keeper? Joe.

Welcom Joe!! It's beautiful. It would be a keeper if I had it. If you like you can send it to me and I'll keep it safe for you.

Thank you very much for the warm welcome, everybody. I did get out to find more Jasper. Twice, but the tide was high both times. Did find three more pieces. Non as nice as the first piece. From what I've read, the real good stuff should have larger orbs, about a quarter inch. Will keep looking. If I do decide to have some cabs made, is there someone close to Quilcene that can do the work? Joe.

that red poppy look just like some of that ripped off stuff "dougy" was trying to sell and now the picture of it is gone and so is joe
you can't find material like that on the Washington state beaches, I'd be out there looking for it if you could!
