Made a ring, that is! I had to chide myself in the process & say, "There is just no way you are going to get it perfect on the first try!" because that is what I was trying to do. So here it is. I used sterling coated copper wire & I will be doing this one over again when I get better because I like this stone & it is the only one I have. It was supposed to be a 7, it's closer to 10, it's crooked & the shank is a mess. One thing I did discover is that my pliers really suck, big time & I am looking for another pair of pliers right away, like now!!!!!! A while ago. Don, (dlcgems) what were those pliers you were using in the tutorial you did? OK, here's pics. Diane, I probably should have tried the adjustable anyway, I would have avoided the size problem!

Well you did really well on the first try and I had the same issue with size on my first ring. Now you will be able to do more of them and the adjustable ring to me is soooo easy compared to the sized rings.

Donnie, I'd give the adjustable ring a try, it's much easier!, especially when it comes to wrapping the shank.

Looks like a good learning experience. I'm sure the next attempt will be much nicer!

Good effort Donnie, I bet the next one will be perfect! I plan to try one someday. Maybe this winter when I have more time.

Good going Donnie. You gotta start somewhere. I have always wanted to make rings also. Maybe someday I will

WTG Donnie, I haven't even attempted a ring so you're way ahead of me (as usual). It looks beautiful.
