Hey everyone, I just got into this hobby a few months back. I really enjoy it, but I have a problem. Every complete batch comes out with these dull spots on them. I've tried burnishing, and even got some tripoly compond and tried polishing by hand. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

Hard to say without knowing what rocks you're tumbling. Some turn out like that no matter what you do.

Can you put up some photos? It may be softer stone in the dull areas. I have the same problem with some quartz but they are dull on the edges from not using a filler to soften the banging around in the tumbler. Jim
