I have not been cabbing or tumbling a whole lot lately. I have been spending time on some larger stone carvings. This is an abstract stone sculpture carved on Indiana Limestone 30" tall. It is part of a series I am working on called circles in stone. Here are some more sculptures that I got into our local state fair.. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Jason

Nice work Jason. This is rock, so counts just as much as a cab. Woody

I like your newest work, I think one of these days soon I might do something like that for a pendant.

Great work. How do you cart those around?

Not easy when you are hauling 8 to 10 of them. They weight a max of 50 pounds each but the polished alabaster scratches easy. I wrap them up in blankets and bubble wrap for transport.

That's some impressive work Jason!! The Circles in Stone is fantastic, what tools are you using to do these?

A core drill, diamond blades on 4" grinders, sawsall with carbide tips, hammer, chisil, SC sandpaper and a lot of elbow grease. I am finishing one in polished dark alabaster today. I will post pics later of it.

Here is the Alabaster one I am about finished with. Needs a final polish and the small holes that leek white will get a texture. This one is elevated by a rod. This one is 20" tall

The last picture: do I see some idea of a bird in that?

Ha Ha My daughter saw the brass knuckles in it too. No bird. I have been carving for a couple years but focusing on it a bit more lately.
Thanks everyone.
