bobby1 I. Love. These! I'm considering getting a Dremel as an entry into carving. I am NOT artistic though so will likely stick to hearts and the like Can you tell me what you use to carve? This member hasn’t been active for over a year. He might still be around or not. Sorry if he's not. I know most use dremels, flexshafts or foredoms with diamond bits/burs. The dremel will be the most cumbersome to use but a good entry. You can alway get a flexshaft attachment for the dremel to make it easier too. Ahhh - not a worry I'm perusing through the carving section to see if I can get any info on starting out. Saw these and didn't even look at the dates haha. These are from 2011. I'll look up the other things you've mentioned here too - Thanks!!

I use a Foredom unit and multiple wheels and bits including diamond burs, Mizzy silicon Carbide wheels, hands shaped wood bits mounted on tapered screw mandrels and silicon carbide sanding blocks' I write a monthly column for Rock and Gem Magazine called "Bench Tips"' The articled focus on many carving tips and methods. There is a new project every month.
