It's been a year since I had the tumbler going. We moved and I just never got it set up, until now. I oiled it up, busted up a whole lot of rocks and let it roll! There's at least 50 pounds going. I am going to get new shafts for it this weekend because I originally built it with hot rolled ones, and I want to get cold rolled shafts installed. Still runs like a champ. It sure is nice to have the big moma tumbler rolling ;D Steve

That'sa nice set up. I like the way youve got the back up motor ready to go. If you built that, that is some nice engineering.

I made it out of superstrut and bolted it to a metal table frame. It's solid as a...well...you know. The two motors serve a unique purpose. The one that is currently driving the barrels is a 1/3HP motor. The other motor is a 1/6HP motor. That way if I only want to run two barrels instead of four, I can switch to the other motor.

I love to see home engineering and yours is great. I have worked with super strut and it sure makes building things much easier. Great job. Jim

That is an impressive tumbling machine! Sneaking a peak in the back of the machine, I see quite a few more...The really impressive thing is keeping track of the stage of all of those tumblers! Scott

\ Jo, it's got crazy lace, AZ pet wood, rose quartz, obsidian, Texas agate aka red and yellow with some almost-plume patterns going on. Just about time to change grits or do a 3rd recharge.
Sherm, yeah there is a small army of tumblers back there. I just recently got 3 of them running with some amethyst and carnelian (not in the same barrel). It's quite a sight. Steve
