I had some time in the East bay area so I did some hounding in the Berkeley hills. These agates are hard to find. It took me about an hour to get just a handful. I did some looking around hoping to find a new spot, but ended up in the one place I found them before. The biggest one is about a little over an inch around. I am looking forward to sawing these up. Steve The view aint bad. You can see the new SF bay bridge being built in the background.

Very cool. Man that takes me way back. That's one of the first places my pop ever took me rockhunting. Think it was called Fish Ranch Road or something like that and there were also t-eggs near some old hotel, maybe the Claremont. Old Buster Sledge was one of the first guys who hunted those. When was a little feller, I found a nodule of the type you found in a ravine up there and carried it around for years as I could not afford to have it cut. I finally did and it was a dud and I was crushed *L*. A good number of the nodules and T-eggs from up there had iris agate too....Mel
