A growing number of people on here have been contacting me in the background thanking me for some of my posts. They do not want to post their opinions because it will piss off some of the knowledgeable people and they will stop replying to their posts. I guess I am naive and I was not paying any attention to who was NOT replying to my posts so I went back and checked. Sure enough, some of the people that do not share my opinion have stopped replying to my posts. It is sad that people can be so childish. I compare it to a gang of children that control the free candy store and will not let the other children in unless they join the gang. SHAME ON YOU BOYS. Personally, I could not care less who does not reply to my posts because there are a lot of good people on here that can put their personal opinions aside in the part of this site that pertains to what RTH is all about, "sharing knowledge and friendship about rocks and making them beautiful".
I want to thank EVERYONE for their support and friendship and hope that next year will be awesome for ALL, Rock on everyone. Tis the season you know. And happy new year. Jim

I have no idea what you are talking about, but aside from all that,
Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year also.

You should not even worry about the "opinion" of any of the members here because they all have one and will differ from others Just have fun and enjoy this forum and post away - who cares if a certain few will not reply your world will not stop spinning because of it ;D Have your self a Very Merry Christmas and holiday season

LOL... "Ye Shall Know Them By Their Posts" hahaha That's one of the best things about this forum. I like folks that have an opinion, and express it. Overall, I think most folks on here make a distinction between the free-for-all here in "Life" and the other sections dedicated to our shared love of working stones. I can go a few rounds with someone over politics or whatever, and still admire their skills and purdy rocks.

Just remember also that tis the season for everyone to get super busy. I know when I'm really busy, I may do a quick browse on RTH and only formulate a comment if I can muster the brain cells and squeeze out the minutes. I would hope that everyone puts their political feelings aside when it comes to our shared love of rocks.
Have a wonderful holiday season everyone! Jo

I wish we had a LIKE button on here I remember reading posts in the RTH archives about this forum once having a "Karma" button. One could give a member good or bad karma marks... They removed it ostensibly because it was a source of much angst and hurted feelers...I think we are all stuck in the playground of life...but hey, that's half the fun. Folks do get get busy, and one can go on streaks where you have time to post more than other times... Geoff, very good reply Bill

I would hope that everyone puts their political feelings aside when it comes to our shared love of rocks. Second that, there is enough of that in every other media. Have a comfy Christmas, and a good time with family and/or friends throughout the holidays. Kurt

Gee, I almost never look at this section as it is mostly non rock related. I'm not really interested in political opinions, jokes, etc. I can hear all that other places than a rock forum. I only opened this one because by the title I was afraid someone had gone to the big rock pile in the sky. I usually only reply to posts if I think I can add something that hasn't been said already.

I wouldn't sweat the small stuff. I learned long ago that no matter how big or small the group is there will always be those who like me and those who don't care for me for whatever reason. I have also wasted lots of time in the past trying to figure out why someone does not care for me. Through that I have learned that it is useless worrying about such matters and it is much better to concentrated on the good and what brings me joy while helping others when I can.
Merry X-Mas,
Christopher

I am proud to be associated with this group and love sharing "the bones of the eaRTH" and what we do with them and with you all. Like Christopher said, the small stuff isn't woRTH breaking a sweat over. Life is just to short to worry about who replys and who doesn't. Enjoy the time you've got because our next minute isn't guarenteed.
Merry Christmas to ALL of you.........gary

As Johnstgems said, the thread's title is VERY uninspired, to say the least.
Merry Christmas everyone!
