What do you folks use as spray guard material on Nova wheels? My machine has pvc guards but they don't distribute the water much. I'm thinking a softer material but I don't want to wear down the nova wheels either. Thanks, Scott

Scott, if you have a Tractor Supply near you, Buy some rubber belting. They have it in several widths and thicknesses, and sell it by the foot. Another thing you could try is a plain old kitchen sponge. Don

Don, I actually have some of that rubber belt material...that won't heat up the novi wheel too much? Thanks, Scott

Not as long as you're using plenty of water. Years ago we used pieces of inner tubes. Don

I use a piece of old car floor mats either rubber or cloth.

I use plenty of water so that shouldn't be a problem! Thanks for the quick replies guys! Scott

I use the generic green scotch brite-like pads cut to shape. they do a real good job of spreading the water across the wheels and keep the spray down nicely.

I go to the carpet store and get the 50 cent remnants... shaggiest stuff I can find. It saturates and spreads the water over the wheel, and stays really wet itself against the wheel.

I use cotton Karate belts I find at the thrift store. $2 gets me a yard or so. I cut them into pieces just the right length & glue under the lip of my hood. Not only does it keep down the spray, but it spreads the water over the entire width of the wheel. The belt on the left keeps water from splashing out of the hood. Lynn

NOte in Lynn's pics the belting on the right has the corners notched inward to the edge of the wheel. With rubber material, the water will be guided inward tyo the wheel and more water delivered. I did this to my cabber and the water flow onto the wheel increased a good deal.
