but I have been working stones. Mostly cutting but here are some cabs I've done over the last few months. Actinolite. I'll try and cab anything. This was from some mineral samples from a club member. Looks better in person, then you can see the flash. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Actinolite.jpg) Aquamarine. This is as small as I can go without dopping. Its about 1/4" x 5/8". ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Aquamarine.jpg) Brenda agate. Collected this last January near Brenda Az with Catmandew and some others from here. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Brendaagate.jpg) Chrysocolla in quartz, maybe. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Chrysocollainquartz-1.jpg) Deschuttes jasper. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Deschuttesjasper.jpg) Dino bone. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Dinobone-1.jpg) Fire agate. Kept chasing the fire but ran out of room. This one is about as thin as a dime. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Fireagate.jpg) Flourite from Fran. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Flourite.jpg) Indonesian fossil coral. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/IMG_2072.jpg) Joanna Furnace slag glass. Collected this myself at a historic iron furnace near here with Mr. & Mrs. Catmandew. Its pretty pity but I wanted to see what it looks like cabbed. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/JoannaFurnaceslagglass.jpg) Lapidolite. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/lapidolite.jpg) Pietersite. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Pietersite.jpg) Queensland agate. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Queeslandagate.jpg) Gold tinted doublet. This is one of the colored doublets that I do. Used gold tint for the epoxy on this one. Looks better in person. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/STPAdoublet-gold.jpg) Moss thunderegg, not sure of the source. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Thunderegg.jpg) Unknown gold plume. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/uknownplume.jpg) Unknown. Can't remember the name of this but I do remember that its a felspar from Canada. It has bright flashes of blue similar to labradorite. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Unknown2-1.jpg) Another unknown. Could be Pennsylvania turquoise but I'm not positive. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Unknown1.jpg) Unknown gold moss. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/Yellowmoss.jpg) Green tinted doublet. Probably my favorite of the bunch. I love making these doublets. ![](http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x120/tonyterner/Cabochons/SWPAdoublet-green.jpg)

Just a guess, but the red feldspar from Canada might be peristerite.

Nice cabachons, the doublets are intestesing. This may be a stupid question but what do you use to tint your epoxy with to get it yellow and green?

Cabjunky, I use a product called Pearl Ex. Its a powdered tinting agent that comes in 30+ colors. Many have mica in them to adding a mirror like flash between the layers.

Tony, you have such a talent with doublets! That last one is so striking! I know what you mean about trying anything to see how it does. I often do that and really get sidetracked when I have others to finish up. Just can't help myself! I keep going back to your PA turq unknown...Was it kind of soft? Really neat looking material! Keep up the great work! Fran
