Thanks for the trip report & pics. Note that everyone is wearing T shirts in late December and not using snow shovels while rock hounding! Looking forward to the rest of your pics.

The big stuff in float looks like the Straw Beds. Basket ball sized broken pieces in float there and not as visited as the other beds due to more remote/farther walk in.

Goober use to go remote camping out in that area and look for Indian artifacts. It was fun camping near the Chocolate Mountains gunnery range border and watch the Navy jets bomb the hillsides at night. Larry
