Well Mr Mostly, firstly Hello and I love your hearts My name is Liz. I have lots of pictures somewhere of the chaps I've made Just got to find them. I never added any stone to the chaps back then. First off I wasn't really into stones the way I am now I mean I was always picking them up when on trail rides and Id always come back to camp with lots of stuff in my saddle bags. But never did I think to incorporate them in the leather. My Husband now would love for me to get back into leather and do something like that but I got board with the leather stuff. I still have all my shop equipment and I have a so called leather class on Fridays which really is more like a girls wine night. I don't know what you are talking about with a buffing arbor for leather? Please explain Thanks Liz

Nice to meet your acquaintance, Liz
Welcome to the world of Rocks!
I don’t know too much - but I was in a saddle makers shop. He had this antique workable arbor. It was about 4 feet long, elevated chest high and had maybe 5 wheels attached to it. They were small diameter. Probably 4” or so. It was motor belt driven-- but originally it was a treadle style, I think Many shoe repair shops have something similar I was thinking how cool it would be for buffing stones and thanks so much for the heart compliment! Possible a stropping machine or a machine that will shine boots? Stropping basically shines the edges of the leather. I don't really know unless I see one.
