Howdy folks, Well, it's time for the baby cattle here on the ranch now. We've got about a dozen calves now and I thought I'd post a pic of this little fellow ( we watched part of his birth). This is about 15 minutes after he was dropped and momma is cleaning him off. He was actually already trying to stand a bit. His momma is Charolais and his pop is Black Angus. We have a Charolais bull but the blackie knows how to walk cattleguards so he pretty much has his way with any of the gals he wants.....Mel

Awe! That baby looks bigger than my dogs! I always thought cows delivered in spring but that was just a guess. I never really paid attention to it, just saw all the small ones at ranches in spring. Thanks for sharing! Fran
