I made an ebay purchase and have been very happy with the results. This guy runs a rock shop and I'd love to give him more referral business but I have seen some pretty negative opinions about eBay on here.
Would a review be welcome or is that a bad idea?
Thanks,
John

tandi, rockmanken right above your post has a link to etsy in his signature. If you sell rock stuff on ebay you might add a link to your store to your sig as well. I'd check what inventory you have, I've been doing a lot of buying lately.

I've seen plenty of good comments about ebay sellers on her. It seems though that the negatives are easier to remember.

John- yes, it's perfectly ok to rate ebay sellers on here. I've been purchasing rocks off ebay for a few years, and I have my favorite sellers. Some are....... zippyrocks, range_of_light_lapidary, rocksj2b2, mtmineral, and doughboy.

I've decided to wait until I've made a few more purchases. I was reading some horror stories about "everyone said this guy was awesome but he totally screwed me over when I tried him out" - so I'll wait until *I* am a little more trusted and well known to start referring people.
The thread has been good though! Thanks to those of you who commented, and to Stu for the pointer to the other thread that already does this.

MJR Tumblers will not honor the warrenty. My 15 lb barrell broke before my first batch was completed. I've tried to contact them through ebay, web site and phone number, and I have absolutely heard nothing. I wish I had read comments about them on the internet before I spent almost $200.00

For ebay sellers, I'll say that I like rockman69. He has lots of old stock materials at reasonable rates, and delivery is very quick. I just got a big, steaming hunk of dino poo from him, and it was better than described. I also have my favorites for thumbnail specimens and meteorites, but I'm keeping those to myself. Don't want any of you sniping the sniper at the last second. lol

Etsy is good and the fees are very reasonable. You can check out the format on my etsy site.
