It was mid 50's here today so we decided to take advantage of the warm sunny day and took a 5 mile hike up the hill by the house. We both had a good time although the leaves on the ground made it slippery at times. Amber is in pretty good shape these days but I think I wore her out on this one. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, next time I won't be lazy and I'll take the camera.

This area has a lot of history. There is an old wine cellar standing on top of the hill in the middle of nowhere. Well it wasn't always nowhere. Apparently there was a tavern here. The trail we were on was following the path of an old gravity railroad that used to bring tourists here in the late 1800's.

Found this cool fungus along the path. Strange day, didn't see one living animal, not even a bird.
The turn around point, a bass hatchery pond.
Eagle eye Amber spotted these along the path. Its the first time I've found hematite here in PA. Not sure its worth slabbing.
