I've been on the board for almost 2 years, and lost wax casting is a subject that I've never seen mentioned. Do any of our members cast?
I have a small and inexpensive vacuum casting setup that I inherited from an old friend about 18 years ago, but I've never tried using it. I'd be interested in learning how it's done.

Don, I bought the whole set up used but after several years of never getting around to it I sold it all last year. Mine had the centrifugal caster. If it was a vacuum caster I would have used that part as a stabilizer system. I made a crude one for a jeweler customer based on the vacuum casters.
