Hi folks! Christa and I headed out to Alamo Lake Saturday for an overnight trip.

The lake is pretty low right now, and with cooler temps the fish weren't biting (prolly hanging lethargic in deeper water), but did manage to entice one with a spinner bait

Lots of new rocks to look through with the lower water so there was plenty to hold my attention. Later we grilled some steaks, had a nice camp fire and were treated to an amazing sunset

Yesterday after breakfast we headed to the hills nearby to collect some agates. A nice overcast day in the desert made for some comfortable rock hounding weather

It was a great trip!

Here's some rocks we brought home

Some from the lake, mostly chalcedony boulders and a few yard rocks

Some stuff from the hills

Throw rock
Listen, hear a "sploosh"?, that's where the fish are.
Don't hear a "sploosh"?, no fish in there. Retrieve rock and try again.
Works every time.

Love those tailgate shots. I got to say, your yard rock is another man's treasures. Beautiful colors and patterns. That white looking moss/plume one in the second the the last pic is the winner for me. Looks awesome.

Last one is great , but there looks to be potential in alot of those , the rocks are so clean there . put a live minnow on a slip bobber bout two feet off the bottom in the deeper parts
