Nice batch, Jack! I'm no expert, but to me the mystery stone looks more like an agate of sorts than a jasper.

Whatever it is, the mystery stone looks fantastic, so do a lot of others.

That's a nice batch. Good color and stone mix. The mystery stone looks like chalcedony or agate to me.

Well done Jack. Looks very much like I am picking up. The mystery stone is a cracker. I see some nice jasper and a few Garnets. I'm guessing Dunure?.

Looks great Jock, that rose-ish quarts has almost a purple hue to it, very pretty!

Jack that is one fine batch of rocks. I sure do love that unknown one. Have a grest winter. To bad you can't keep tumbling through the winter. Do you plan on doing any indoor rockin? Stu

Very nice John and a good variety of colors as well.
I have to agree that the mystery rock is an agate as you can see through it in places.A jasper is a solid rock that one can't see through at all,,,,like granite as opposed to a pane of glass.
It's a pity you have to shut down for the winter but maybe that will let you accumulate more rocks for the warmer months,,,,,like you need more rocks! LOL

Jack You found your mystery stone in Scotland and I found very similar stone in Alberta. We assumed it was an agate because some of the stones are clearer and you can see thru the thinner ones. Brenda

Tom and Brenda
Thanks for the Identification Tip I have often wondered how you distinguish between them ,
I know when you cut them Jasper is very dirty compared to Agate ,

Nice tumble Jack!
The mystery agate looks organic to me, like silica replaced an organism.
