Every farm in Texas from 5 to thousands of acres has at least one stock pond. Out Of Many, One Curt

That scene is mighty easy on the eyes, up here we go a few months without seeing nice green grass, Do you have snappin' turtles?

Yep Bill, lots of snappin' turtles.......big suckers too. A lot of these ponds double as catfish ponds. Yummy.
You never know about the weather here. Last 2 years we had snow this time of year. This year we still have green grass. Two weeks from now, we may have snow again.

Yeah we're warm here too and our ponds and lakes are pretty full which is nice after all that drought. Creek below the house is flowing again but no fish except for a couple of the ponds as the creek, for the first time in years and years, went bone dry except for behind the dams. We got those snappers too. I rescued one when the creek was drying up that was about the size of a child's saddle. Had to carry him half a mile to water and he was heavy and not so thankful for the rescue *L*.....Mel

Beautiful.
Nice to see that May in Missouri is the new January in Texas.
