hi all, need info on soft wheels, exolite co selling soft wheels for 85 dollars. i make seashell cabs out of quahog shells also called wampum. would the soft wheel be a little easier on shaping the shells, they come in all grits. are the expando wheels as soft as the soft wheels, the expando belts are about 75 dollars. need expert advice on which way to go. i have my 2 wheel gem-lab ii up and running, but where i am new at trying to make cabs i get a lot of flat spots on the hard 600 and 400 diamond wheels. thanking you in advance for any help on this matter joejan

You may get better responses in the cabbing or general section. Soft surface wheels will indeed help avoid flat spots.

Order some Nova wheels from John, you can't beat them! (he was the last reply)
