I was informed today that I (and 2 others) will be attending a seminar in Santa Fe, NM from Feb. 28-Mar.1, and the boss says driving is cheaper.
I said I don't mind to drive 14 hours, if I get a day to rockhound ;D
Any suggestions! I would be happy just visiting some shops as we have none here in Missouri. Of course, a collecting spot would be better.
Thanks John

Hi John - I hope that your drive will be safe and uneventful. I'm sure others will have suggestions; if you came to CA, I could weigh in but ... Safe Trip! Paul

John,
You better come with a truck... LOL
Will you take i-40 thru Amarillo or i-70 thru Denver?
I am 40 miles south of Albuquerque and pretty much know all the collecting sites around here.
Abiquiu lake is just over an hour away from Santa Fe. There are many agates in that area.
Rio Puerco west of Albuquerque is the big area for nice Agates, Jaspers and wood.

Jason,
Thanks! I think we will swing south this time of year and go I-40.
