This combination started out as a joke between my wife and me. On my workbench was a beautiful piece of Palm from Beefjello (Brian) and some slabs of cool Granite from Tandl (Ted). I joked with Tammy saying "I have pomegranate if your hungry" Then it became a challenge to see if I could actually make palm and granite knife scales, as I do not have a flat lap. Here are the results on an antique fishing knife from Ireland. Thanks for looking! John

Beautiful combination and perfect joits betweeen the rocks. What a great idea to use stone instead of metal for bolsters. Jade is best for bolsters, I think, being more resistant than other stones.

Wow is all I can say. That is gorgeous. Wish I had thought nof that when I did my fishing knife. I did it all in one slab. In have done some Barlow knives in two pieces because of the one piece metal bolsters and scales together. Great job. Ken

Seamless and beautiful. Those red speckles on both stones tie it all together. -Carlos
